The Madhuvan Retreat was the summer residence and ‘shikar’ bungalow of the royal family of Vishalgad. The bungalow, known as the ‘Rajgruha’ has now been converted into 4 suites with the theme of the ‘Pancha Mahabhutas of the Universe’, namely; Jal,Vayu,Prithvi and Agni. Each suite including the decor, lighting and interiors is designed according to each of these elements. Amongst these, the ‘Vayu’ unit is with its quaint mezzanine floor!
Each suite comprises an air conditioned bedroom unit and an attached kitchenette equipped with an electric kettle & dressing area along with an attached toilet equipped with a hot water geyser, commode and a wash basin. Fresh clean bath towels and hand towels are also provided.
Because the Western Ghats are a visual treat during the wonderful monsoon, special stands are also provided to dry out your adventure wear!
All suites are wheelchair accessible via a ramp.
Inspired by 'Vayu,' this duplex room features a unique color scheme and elements reflecting air and movement.
A room inspired by 'Jal,' with decor and colors that represent the element of water.
Designed around 'Pruthvi,' this room includes artwork and decor highlighting the element of earth.
